Getting there :

Closest City: Kalasa

By private transport: • Follow google directions to the Kudremukh entrance which is about 10 km from Kalasa using the button above. • From the entrance, walk/hire a jeep which drops you to the starting point of the trek - Mullodi village forest checkpost. This is a 5km bumpy stretch ( 200-250/person) and taking personal vehicles here is not a good idea. By public transport: • From Bangalore, take a KSRTC bus to Kalasa. Book tickets on KSRTC website. • From the Kalasa, take a private bus which goes towards Balagal and get down at Kudremukh entrance. • From the entrance, walk/hire a jeep which drops you to the starting point of the trek - Mullodi village forest checkpost. This is a 5km bumpy stretch for 200-250/person.

Aditional information :
• Trekking is allowed only from 6 am to 5pm. Start early, reach the top by 1-2 pm, so that you can get back by 5pm. • Only the first 50 people get permission to hike in a day. • Camping is not allowed on Kudremukh trek.

Food,Water and Stay on the trek: • There are many homestays at the start of the trek that provide food, water, camping, pick up & drop from Kalasa to Mullodi. You can find them online. • There are many streams and one waterfall on the trail where you can fill water • Unreliable network in the region
